Today I am going to review a product that I use for about a month now, which is Emina Green Tea Latte Face Mask. So Emina is an Indonesian local brand targeting teenagers like me haha. You must have heard about Emina because there are many beauty bloggers reviewing their products. By the way, Emina and Wardah are produced by the same factory, so I was curious if Emina is Halal too, after searching on google, I found that yes Emina is Halal, So my moeslim friends don’t have to worry about it.

I read about Emina products reviews in blogs, they have more products now, because the first time I tried Emina was in 2015 and they only have a small range of makeups.  Now they have skincares too. Okay, after I read the reviews, I really want to try others Emina products, one of them is the Green Tea Latte Face Mask. Why was it so interesting for me? Because there is the “Green Tea Latte” writings on it LOL. I really love that kind of scent, I have imagined that the scent would be like green tea latte drinks at the cafes.

PACKAGING

The packaging is cute right? Very cheerful with the green and white color theme, I also love the patterns. The writtings on the front side are “Green Tea Latte face Mask, Emina Born To Be Loved”. It’s a regular tube made from plastic, just like face wash packaging. And there was an aluminium foil seal, to ensure that your product is brand new.

REVIEW

The texture is gel-like, with milky green color. I expect the scent to be like the café’s green tea latte, in fact, it smells like Viva Milk Cleanser and Face Tonic Green Tea. I’m confused that they put “Latte” in the title, but it doesn’t feels like or smells like a latte. I honestly feel very disappointed, because the very reason why I wanted to buy it in the first place was because the name is “Green Tea Latte” not just plain “Green Tea”.

However when you apply it on to your face, it feels soothing and cool, you don’t have to apply generous amount of it, only apply it as needed. The smell is quite strong, maybe for some of you who is sensitive to strong scented things will feel uncomfortable. Be careful if you have acne/open wound because it will sting. Although the gel-like texture is similar to peel off mask, you need to wash it with clean water after 15-20 minutes.

It’s a little bit hard to wash it off, you have to put a bit pressure on to your face because the mask will become slippery. After washing it, dry your face with clean towel, your face will be smooth and it feels fresh. By the way they don’t explain if this mask is suitable for a certain skin type, I have an oily skin, and the mask doesn’t make it dry or oily. So I’m guessing that this face mask is suitable for all skin type.
